Just under 4000 head of cattle traded through Vermilion this week, with all cattle trading basically steady with last week. The 550lb and lighter steers felt very active and most traded a couple bucks higher. 600lb heifers traded a couple bucks easier, but replacement quality heifers traded very strong on some select groups.

The cows and bulls traded fully steady. Lots of good cows traded from $225-230. Old, thin, or crippled cows are under $200/cwt. Bulls from $230-260, depending on yield.

Our first bred cow sale of the year is on Monday, November 17th at 12pm.
