2333hd of cattle sold through the ring in Vermilion, today. The cow trade was very steamy, with cows selling $3-5 higher. It was an all-out fight over the feeder cows trading $5-8 higher - a level that does not feel sustainable. The market continues to remain unchanged.

On the feeder cattle side of things, the steers mostly sold steady - aside from the 900lb classes which traded $3-5 higher. A lot of demand was shown on the heifer market, with most classes trading $5-10 higher than last week with grass weight, and replacement quality, of course, being highly sought after.

We also had a very nice lineup of bred females today. The bred heifer trade topped out at $6800 and strong, well-built mature cows topped out at $6650.

Be sure to stop in on Monday, February 16th, for the Westgold/Grassy Flat Ranch Bull Sale.

Thank you and have a great rest of your week.
