Today we had 1800 head through the ring. As a general statement the quality of the cattle was very good and sold very good. The big steers all sold $3-6 stronger, some 900lb steers selling very close to $300/cwt is sure nice to see.

We didn't have a lot of light grass weight cattle today but they sold very strong. One highlight was 490lb steers at $439/cwt.

On the heifer side prices were stronger as well. Light heifers were $5-7 stronger, some 563lb heifers traded for $352/cwt. The big heifers were $6-10 higher. The market was very active all the way through.

The cows traded steady to $2 stonger. Younger feeding type cows were $3-5 stronger. The bulls were fully steady - high bull was $168. Most traded $150-160.
