1159 head of cattle traded hands here in Vermilion, today. The futures have rallied nicely since the on-feed and inventory reports came out of the US. The cows sold $3-5 higher than last week, with younger feeding cows topping out @ $2.53/lb. The bull trade topped out with the high selling bull bringing $2.76/lb.

The feeder cattle all traded $5-8 higher as well with lots of players showing up on the light grass weight cattle.
