We had a great sale to kick off the new year. All classes of feeder cattle sold $5-10 higher than where we left off at the end of December. With gains in the futures over the holidays, the market proves to show continuous demand and optimism amongst the feeder cattle.

Slaughter cows and bulls continue to trade fully steady, all while feeder cows sold fully steady to $5 higher.

Our last bred sale of 2024 was well attended. The offering was mostly cows, with a few bred heifers. The top quality heifers weighing over 1100lb brought $4500-5000, the 1000-1100lb heifers sold mostly $4000-4500, and heifers under 1000lb sold $3300-3600.

The dispersal cows sold were very well received. Young to middle aged cows sold from $4500-5000. Aged cows were $3500-4000.

Producers are looking for good quality females that have productive years left and they are willing to pay good money when they find them. We have a bred sale in February 2025, watch the calendar for specific dates!
