This week we saw a lighter run of cattle hit the scales, but the market is still on the rise. Most gains on the steer side were in the 600 weights, which were close to $4-6 higher. A feature in the presort was a set of 846 weight black steers bringing $330/cwt.

On the heifer side of things, the 500 weights proved strong at $3-5 higher.

The cow and bull market yet again showed strength at $3-5 higher this week. We also had a light run of bred cattle, with bred heifers selling upwards of $3500 and bred cows selling at $3000-$3400.

We are expecting 1000+ for our presort next week. Please phone one of our knowledgeable sales staff if you are wanting to book in some cattle.

Have a great rest of your week!
