We had a nice run of feeder cattle today as people take advantage of the good weather and great prices. The market today was on fire across the board.

The light steers traded mostly $3-5/cwt stronger, while the middle weights, 500-600lbs steers and heifers, all traded $8-10/cwt stronger than a week ago, with some highlights as much as $18 stronger. One set of fancy 557lb steers sold for $471.00/cwt. The heavy calves over 650lbs traded $3-5 stronger.

The cows today traded mostly steady with a weaker tone on the kill cows. The feeding cows sold steady with lots of demand.
