We had a very good run of cattle today with 3889hd passing through the ring. All classes of cows and slaughter type bulls remain to trade fully steady.

All classes of feeder cattle remain to be priced constant with last week, while the 550lb steers can be said to have faced very slight seasonal pressure because of high volumes.

Our last bred sale of 2024 was well attended. The offering was mostly cows, with a few bred heifers. The top quality heifers weighing over 1100lb brought $4500-5000, the 1000-1100lb heifers sold mostly $4000-4500, and heifers under 1000lb sold $3300-3600.

The dispersal cows sold were very well received. Young to middle aged cows sold from $4500-5000. Aged cows were $3500-4000.

Producers are looking for good quality females that have productive years left and they are willing to pay good money when they find them. We have a bred sale in February 2025, watch the calendar for specific dates!
