Today, we saw our first run of fresh weaned calves, and they sold into a very strong market. 350lb steers selling over $8.00/lb and some 350lb heifers selling over $7.00/lb. All weights of calves are selling very good. Yearlings sold strong again as well - 900lb heifers over $4.00/lb and 900lb steers selling up to $4.60/lb.

The cow and bull trade was strong as well, kill cows sold from $210-220/cwt with sales up to $265.

Our last bred sale of 2024 was well attended. The offering was mostly cows, with a few bred heifers. The top quality heifers weighing over 1100lb brought $4500-5000, the 1000-1100lb heifers sold mostly $4000-4500, and heifers under 1000lb sold $3300-3600.

The dispersal cows sold were very well received. Young to middle aged cows sold from $4500-5000. Aged cows were $3500-4000.

Producers are looking for good quality females that have productive years left and they are willing to pay good money when they find them. We have a bred sale in February 2025, watch the calendar for specific dates!
