We had a very nice offering here, today. All classes of cows sold fully steady, while the slaughter type bulls traded hands $4-6 higher than last week, with the high selling bull at $291/cwt.

We saw lots of heavier cattle today in the presort, which sold very well. All classes of feeder cattle sold fully steady as well. Highlights of the presort are as follows:
658lb TAN strs @ $618/cwt = $4066/hd
798lb EXOT strs @ $580/cwt = $4628/hd
719lb BLEX strs @ $612/cwt = $4400/hd
574lb BLEX hfrs @ $622.50/cwt = $3573
638lb BLK replacement hfrs @ $614/cwt = $3917.32/hd

Today's bred heifer and cow sale was very well attended and there were some top-quality bred females. The full sale results can be viewed by clicking the link, but the 1150-1300lb heifers brought $5000 - $5500 with sales up to $6000. The 1000-1150lb heifers traded mostly $4300 - $4900. The young cows traded from $4600 - $5000 with sales up to $5900. The more mature cows traded from $3200 - $4000.
