We had a very light summer run again. Both the slaughter and feeder type cows sold fully steady to $3 higher. The bulls continued to trade fully steady.

A very light run of feeder cattle traded hands as well, at very attractive pricing. Some 305lb steer calves sold @ $822.50/cwt and some 420lb strs sold @ $750.00/cwt.

Today's bred heifer and cow sale was very well attended and there were some top-quality bred females. The full sale results can be viewed by clicking the link, but the 1150-1300lb heifers brought $5000 - $5500 with sales up to $6000. The 1000-1150lb heifers traded mostly $4300 - $4900. The young cows traded from $4600 - $5000 with sales up to $5900. The more mature cows traded from $3200 - $4000.
