Today we had a smaller sale due to the extreme cold. The cattle on offer were very good and sold steady to stronger in spots. A few highlights on the steer side were:
702lb @ $440.00
810lb @ $395.00
600lb @ $508.00
904lb @ $373.50

The heifer trade was very good as well. Under 700lb heifers traded $3-5 stronger and over 700lb heifers traded $5-8 stronger.

The cows and bulls were very lightly tested but appeared to be steady to $2 stronger and $10 higher on bulls.

Our last bred sale of 2024 was well attended. The offering was mostly cows, with a few bred heifers. The top quality heifers weighing over 1100lb brought $4500-5000, the 1000-1100lb heifers sold mostly $4000-4500, and heifers under 1000lb sold $3300-3600.

The dispersal cows sold were very well received. Young to middle aged cows sold from $4500-5000. Aged cows were $3500-4000.

Producers are looking for good quality females that have productive years left and they are willing to pay good money when they find them. We have a bred sale in February 2025, watch the calendar for specific dates!
